8 virtual galleries popping out of the footpath in an AR-trail around Wagga Wagga showcasing the creative work of around 100 young locals, many whose families are building lives there after refugee experiences.
Project with youth arts organisation, Heaps Decent.
This project with Heaps Decent was the culmination of over 3 years working with young people there, developing artworks in a limitless range of formats – music, video, photography, animation, illustration, virtual sculptures, paintings, patterns, collage and more…
Presented in a series of futuristic floating galleries in an augmented reality art trail around the town.
The project also produced a public mural of self portraits of young people involved. 30m long and fully augmented with each portrait revealing the music, video, animation, illustration and other artworks the kids made as part of the project.
The mural won the 2020 RealWorld XR Award for Diversity in XR.
